Northern Explorer Loop

A green northern PCN loop linking Lower Seletar Reservoir, Sembawang Park, Admiralty Park and Woodlands Waterfront.

Moderate North Singapore Leisure ride ~25 km loop

About this route

The Northern Explorer Loop strings together the quietest corner of the Park Connector Network. From Rower’s Bay at Lower Seletar Reservoir you roll past Yishun Dam, through Sembawang’s seafront park, into Admiralty Park and on to Woodlands Waterfront, where the jetty looks straight across the Strait to Johor.

Terrain here undulates more than Singapore’s coastal loops, so it doubles as light hill training without leaving the park connectors. Water features the whole way: reservoir, coastline, mangrove fringes. Macaques and hornbills are regular sightings along the Mandai stretch. Start early: shade is patchy between Sembawang and Woodlands.

Perfect for: Riders stepping up from flat coastal paths, nature lovers, weekend morning loops

  • The 11 km Lower Seletar → Woodlands Waterfront stretch makes a good short version if the full loop is too long.

Open Route in Google Maps needs nothing extra. It opens the Maps app (or website) with the whole route already plotted as pins, ready to cycle. The GPX download is useful if you navigate with an app like Komoot or Strava, or a Garmin/Wahoo bike computer. On longer routes Google may smooth a corner or two, since it draws its own path between the pins; the map below shows our fuller route line.
