Central Urban Loop
A heartland grand tour: 36 km of connectors through Bishan-AMK Park and down the Kallang River to the city fringe.
The island’s classic technical MTB loop: rock drops, root webs and jungle singletrack, ridden clockwise only.
This is the trail Singapore mountain bikers measure themselves against: a one-direction (clockwise) loop skirting Bukit Timah hill through dense jungle, packed with rock gardens, steep drops, tight switchbacks and root networks that stay greasy long after rain.
The old quarry meadow midway is the classic breather stop, with sheer rock faces and sometimes climbers on them, before the trail dives back into the trees. It is emphatically not a beginner trail; walk anything beyond your level and nobody will blink. Weekends get busy with a wide mix of abilities, so ride patient.

Open Route in Google Maps needs nothing extra. It opens the Maps app (or website) with the whole route already plotted as pins, ready to cycle. The GPX download is useful if you navigate with an app like Komoot or Strava, or a Garmin/Wahoo bike computer. On longer routes Google may smooth a corner or two, since it draws its own path between the pins; the map below shows our fuller route line.

Dashed line shows the approximate route corridor; the marker is the start point at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve carpark (Hindhede Drive).
